Before you go, a bit ABOUT ME...

I grew up in Westfield, NJ and attended Boston College (Go Eagles!) where I received a BA in History. After working for a few years, I realized I wanted to teach, so I attended the University of Pennsylvania (Go Quakers!) where I received a MS in Education. I taught in Philly for 4 years before returning to NJ and joining the staff at Summit High School. I have been at SHS since 2011.

I am married and have 2 children: Sonja (born 2012) and Elliott (born 2015). In every way, becoming a mother has made me a better teacher (and filled my life with joy!) Outside of my busy life teaching and parenting, I enjoy reading, cooking, watching TV, and traveling with friends and family.

I LOVE being a teacher. I LOVE history. I LOVE my students. I believe my job is important, and I care to do it well.
